TOM YAM NOODLES (cooking in rice cooker way)

ASSALAMUALAIKUM..

last night, the puddings (jos,ellly,mia,zaff,nina n I ) set a surprise dinner for Fie (another puddings member) for her 21st birthday. Usually we set a massive prank for each of the member when their birthday arrives. Like mine on last semester..I have been pranked quite disastrously.. They showered me with a pail of ice+eggs+glittery powder and the next night I was showered again with a pail of water+curry powder+egg+belacan (the worst!)..But this semester, we plan not to prepare such prank. Instead we decided to prepare "prank secara halus"..lol..

After discussing on what to be cooked, I suggested to have Tom Yam noodles..By the help of elly, we went to the groceries shop to buy the ingredients needed. Afterwards, ..the cooking time arrived!Nina,zaff,and jos and elly helped me through it. Mia was having a discussion but her coming was still appreciated.

Here is the recipe if u want to try..(mind telling u that we used rice cooker so the way of preparing it might be different than the usual way). Ini hidangan untuk 6-7 orang...

The ingredients

bahan tumis:

1. bawang merah 3 biji (dihiris halus)
2. Serai 2 batang (diketuk)
3. bawang putih 3 ulas (dihiris)
4. cili api sebanyak yang anda mahu (dihiris)

bahan-bahan lain:

1. bihun (sepeket)
2. isi ayam/sotong/udang dll (tapi kami guna fish ball n fish cake je)
3. sawi/kobis/lobak merah/jagung kecil
4.tomato
 5. limau nipis/air asam jawa/asam keping (untuk naikkan rasa masam)
6.daun limau purut (untuk naikkan bau)
7. perencah tom yam (kiub atau pes) *bancuhkan dengan sedikit air*

mari kita mulakan memasak...bismillahirrahmanirrahim..petua nak sedap bila masak:selawat setiap kali nak masukkan bahan2 dalam kuali..:)

1. panaskan rice cooker..masukkan minyak masak ( 2-3 sudu besar)

2.setelah minyak panas, masukkan bahan2 tumis satu persatu..tumiskan hingga garing

3. setelah garing,masukkan kiub tom yam atau pes tom yam..biarkan sedikit mendidih baru masukkan air.



4.biarkan mendidih

5.setelah mendidih, masukkan sayur dan fish ball, fishcake dan tomato *elakkan masuk fishball n fishcake terlalu awal untuk elak jadi kembang*


6.Tambahkan gula,garam,serbuk perasa, limau nipis(jusnya sahaja)

7. Setelah mendidih,masukkan daun limau purut *elakkan dari masukkan daun limau purut terlalu awal untuk elakkan sup jadi pahit*

8. dah siap!bolehlah dimakan dengan bihun yang telah direndam sehingga lembut. nak lagi sedap, makanlah dengan sambal effa..haha..(kicap manis+limau nipis+cili api)
