Dosa Semalam

ASSALAMUALAIKUM...

Menghitung hari
Detik demi detik
Masa kunanti apakan ada
Jalan cerita kisah yang panjang
Menghitung hari

Namun benarkah hati mengiya? acapkali kurasa ibadahku sempurna. Namun kekalkah ia? bodoh sombongnya diri.

kau tahu tak kau tak sempurna? syukurlah kau masih bernyawa. bukan tiket untuk hanya mengecap bahagia dunia yang ratanya membumi lagha. syukurlah Dia kasihi kau sepenuhnya, memberi ruang untuk kau menyuci dosa semalam.

Subhanallah, Indahnya Ramadhan. Terima Kasih Ya Allah.

Aku pohon padaMu, tetapkanlah insaf ini.

diary oh diary

ASALAMUALAIKUM

I bet everyone has had a diary where they kept all super P&C secrets inside it. some have had it nicely wrapped and decorated while like me, I had it simple and yeah..got to say that it was pretty hideous with messy-like handwritings. what matters is the content! I started writing in my diary since I was in Form 3. that was hell 6 years back! and tonight I reopened it. i laughed my heart out, golek-golek tahan sakit perut. NONSENSE.

one thing for sure, i have tried to improve my English competency since that year, I could still read my English-written contents in the diary. withh full of grammatical errors. who cares! good job, the sweet 15 y.o effa!

majorly i wrote about my current feelings, my silly arguments with friends n family, my cinta monyet. OHMAIGOD. I did write about my cinta monyet. I was literally blushed reading them all again just now. literally too, i laughed my heart out. that was ridiculous. being a girl school’s student myself, i still have had my own lovey-dovey-mangkuk-ayun-monyet love story. CORRECTION. storiessss. LOL.

i am thankful for those experiences (friends, puppy love, achievements etc) I had back in school years. it turned me to be who I am today. a person who appreciates every single second of breathing. Ya Allah, thank you! Thank you that all the stories ended with nothing but a realization that true love is only for HIM.

p/s: Now I know, the hobby of sneaking into my bedroom, locking off the door and blanketing myself just to pour every bit of feeling I had on several days starting on 2005 had eventually made my night on 2011. funny!

FOOD REVIEW: Jombali again!!

ASSALAMUALAIKUM...

Yeah, what's with the 'again'? Indeed, you are right. I went to Jombali again. AGAIN. This time around with my 4 school besties for Iftar or buka puasa. Well, if I could share here, I did review about this restaurant before. I personally thought that my second visit would lead me to the almost similar's second review with the first one. I was doubting when my friend suggested to have our iftar here but surprisingly, NO. I could see several significant changes especially through their food and drinks. They finally show the customers why they should be visited not once, more than once possibly! You don't believe me? judge this Nasi Goreng Ayam ordered's photo. The left one is taken from my first visit while last night's is on the right.

I've told ya!  Come, let me share with you what other delicacies we have ordered and indulged in last night.

The waiter was first placed a medium-sized plate of few dates on it on our table. How generous.

dates.

 then we ordered these.

from the left: Tauhu Bakar (RM5.90), Drinks: Ribena Longan (RM4.90), Lemon Grass Tea (RM5.90), Bandung Sago (RM4.50), Kantonis Fried Sang Mee (RM10.90), Rojak Buah (RM5.90). Not in the picture: Soya Cincau (RM 3.90)

from left: Chicken Chop Black Pepper (RM13.90), Nasi Kuning Ayam Berempah (RM8.50), Nasi Kebuli Supreme (RM14.90), Nasi Goreng Ayam (RM8.90)

Ohmai. I tell you what, the food were abundant. We could hardly finish it because they gave us such generous quantity of food, I must say. But thanks to the deliciousness of them, we managed to indulge thoroughly in into them and smiled broadly for we were so full and happy. :) True satisfaction.

Here's my extra review on several dishes that I would highly suggest you to try if you happen to visit this restaurant.

TAUHU BAKAR

price: RM5.90
comment: there's a reason why I first-listed this. This was our flavor of the night! super yummy. The bean curd is perfectly tosted. With generous amount of vegetables stuffed in it. It is also drizzled with roasted peanuts on top. What adds up the deliciousness? the thick sauce. Ohmai! it is simply delicious
  rating: 9/10

NASI KEBULI SUPREME

price: RM14.90
comment: super filling! it fills your tummy to the max. with the special rice and spiced chicken, sambal telur, papaddom and vegetable acar. What else can you utter other than super filling. I've read several reviews before and yeah, they preferably made sure this was one of the menus listed on their order list.
rating: 8/10

Jombali Kantonis Fried Sang Mee

price: RM10.90
comment: the gravy is thick and smooth. The noodle is soft and it goes really well with the gravy. The garnishes are sufficient with fish cakes, fried shallot, coriander, lettuce, egg and chicken flesh.
rating: 8/10

Chicken Chop Black Pepper

price: RM13.90
comment: Still, it is as good as before. Still I recommend this as how I first recommended on my first review from my first visit to Jombali. The chicken is tender inside and crispy outside even though it has been poured with the thick and light black pepper sauce. The outer part of the chicken remains crispy! with french fries, coleslow, cucumber and tomato served along with it, it is just perfect and yeah, abundance! It was perfect for me who loves to share my food because, without sharing it with my friend last night, I merely was able to finish it. LOL.
rating: 9/10

oh..if I could sneak-peeked the distinction between the taste and look of this chicken chop from my first visit and the second's:

the left is from my first visit where they used crinkle french fries. and the right one is  my meal last night. AWESOME!

Overall,

environment( 75%)
taste (85%)
price (75%)

wow!they have increased from my first rating here:

Jombali First Review

oh ya..thanks a lot for this, autographed Jalan-Jalan Cari Makan book by the famous TV3 host, Mqria Tunku Sabri. Awesome!

sorry for the shocking blue-ish background. that's the wall. LOL.

ouh. what not to love about being a sister?

ASSALAMUALAIKUM

Happy Ramadhan everyone. Today is the second day of not only curbing oneself from eating and drinking but much vitally, to seek for His forgiveness, devoting our full heart and soul to Him. <3

Today, I would like to share the incident happened few weeks back. Should I call it incident? Reckon so. Well, it all began when I realized that I misplaced my notebook a.k.a laptop in my own house (pathetic enough?) naah, I bet some of you had the exact same experience before. might it involved other gadgets or stuff like handphones or even your remote control. don't deny.

I was really messed up that very day (I am not, most of the times. do believe me, peeps.). Small thing like searching for the notebook seemed so hard.

To get more annoyed when my 12 years old little brother who isn't that little kept on smiling when I asked him whether or not he did see it somewhere. Before I managed to enter my room in an attempt to locate for the notebook, I saw something pasted on my room's door.

"Aziq!!!!!!", I screamed my lung out (hiperbola habis)

Did he show any mercy look? any guilty look? No, instead, he laughed loudly and said calmly,

"Carilah."

Yeah, I had to, in order to get my notebook back, I followed his so-called treasure hunt. HAIH. =_='

not enough? next

argh! when would it end?

got my notebook back but seriously got no idea with what sort of feeling should I have at that very moment.

Family Ceria Gathering 2011

ASSALAMUALAIKUM

Ouh.. It took ages to get this post written and published. Tremendously sorry for I was really busy doing nothing. LOL.

Putrajaya ditutup la bhai on 9th July because you-know-why.

1. Fatin Nazihah (Jiha)
2.Najwa Dalila (Dell)
3.Nurul Sabrina (Sab)
4. Masturah Fadzil (Mas)
5. Syazwan Miswan (Wan)
6.Sue Ray Sapiee (Sueray)
7.Amirul Hamudin (Mirul)
8.Penulis blog ini (tah sape tah.)

Dalam 7 orang sahabat yang datang tu, Sue Ray, Sabrina dan Masturah baru first time dapat berjumpa dengan mereka. Tapi, kami tak kekok pun. We had a great time together! :)

Memang terharu. Still, sudi datang. Next time, kita jumpa ya. InsyaAllah.

HAHA. agak-agaklah 15 km pun. Terima kasih Wan, Jiha and Dell.

Game 1: Saya Sayang Family Ceria

dalam game ni, kami diuji pengetahuan am tentang FC. HAHA. seriously, menggodek sedalamnya latar belakang ahli-ahli FC.  (bak kata Jiha, kena jadi stalker terhebat untuk mampu menjawabnya). Cara bermainnya macam musical box. Kena pass sebuah bekas berisi soalan-soalan berkaitan ahli FC sambil muzik dimainkan. Fret not, semua orang pun kena jawab. Bukan setakat sekali dua, ada sampai 4 kali. kan? tapi memang seronok. Paling seronok bila soalan yang kawan kita tu kena jawab merupakan solan tentang kita. HAHA. sebagai contoh, Mas perlu jawab bilakah tarikh lahir saya. ha... ambik! hehe...

.
.
.

ceria tak? :D

tak mampu nak ingat setiap soalan yang perlu kami jawab sebab banyakkkkk.. hehe..

lepas selesai main game, kami pun...makan!yeah. lunch time.

Few minutes after that, kami teruskan dengan game yang kedua,

Game 2: Regu

HAHA.. Jiha, Mas, Dell dan saya while the other group comprised of Wan, Mirul, Sab dan Sue Ray. Tiada suara dibenarkan. Hanya gerak tangan. LOL.

Kumpulan mereka perlu meneka

1. serkap jarang
2. I Have a Dream
3. Bukit Broga
4. Lagenda Budak Setan

Kumpulan kami pula:

1. tangkai jering
2.Show Me the Meaning of Being Lonely
3.Pulau Santubong
4. Gerak Khas the Movie

memberi

diberi
cute koala bear from cute Aussie student, Sue Ray

Selesai tukar-tukar hadiah, kami pun ambil-ambil gambar, posing sana sini.

(Masjid Tuanku Sultan Mizan). Went in there to pray sambil menghayati keindahan masjid yang....

thanks Sueray for the capture.

berakhirlah sudah aktiviti kami. Jam menunjukkan pukul 6 petang. layaklah kami pulang.

saying goodbye is always the hardest part in life. jumpa lagi kawan-kawan!

I know I am...B.O.R.I.N.G

ASSALAMUALAIKUM...

Have you ever thought that those people who love quotes and like to share motivational thoughts are just a bunch of boring and lame people? Do you find it pretty hard to say yes to this query?

Those people who are in my FB's friends list would notice that I love updating my status. I mean, the status on my wall, not the relationship status. sigh~ Yes, indeed. I won't deny that. Most of my updates were about my current feelings or thoughts on something. Nothing emotional? Naah..off course there was several updates had to do with feelings might it be dissatisfaction on something, sadness, pressure I had etc but rarely I voiced it out obviously. Usually I would voice it cynically or rather I prefer putting them in thoughts or quotes style.

I enjoy sharing motivational quotes with others because I know people do read others' walls on FB and they do read others' statuses as well. So, why not sharing something that would make others think? And hopefully would make you yourself think in return?

I don't know what would you think about this but I do find peace when I read motivational quotes. Off course it does not solve my problems or stop the disappointment I had instantly but still they provide me with some sort of space to reflect and think about what causes such feelings.

I have got several quotes that I wrote mostly based on what I felt at that particular moment. Here are some of them

             ·        your name is the best gift from your parents. live on it. no matter how cruel people can be with your name, no matter how many times they insult u for who u r. ignore it because after all, ur parents will still call u with it and that's how u gain life :)

  ·        there is nothing impossible. even the word IMPOSSIBLE itself comprises of I, M, POSSIBLE (i am possible). believe in yourself that with a great effort + bless from God, we can do almost anything. :)

·        suffocated by tons of assignments? try to take a 5 minute break. breathe in the fresh air and start to question yourself. Do the assignments burden you?you have two clear justifications for that. ONE: "YES, I hate assignment. it burdens and makes me sick!"  TWO: "NO,I have chosen to be in this field, I have to play in the game". works will permanently be a burden if we look at it as a burden.

  • It's always easier to condemn about something but never easy to prove that you are way better in doing what you are condemning.

  •  life remains numb if you are still wearing the same dirty old shirt you're wearing 10 years ago. (read=????)

    •  It's good that you don't know the consequences of your own action. It's good to puzzle over what sort of decision should you opt for when something gives you options. why? simply because there you'll learn more about life. enduring the ups and downs of your own sayings and choices. there you'll appreciate life. :)

    •  it's good to cry sometimes. it breaks the hard wall in your heart

Yeah, I am boring because I hate to curse. Yeah, even lame and boring for the word 'stupid' and adik beradiknya are harsh enough for me. But hey, that's just me. Everyone is entitled to their own way of expressing their feelings and thought, aren't they? So world, accept me. HAHA...

For instance, one would not express his/her dissatisfaction like this,

"bod** ah minah tu nak marah-marah aku. apahal dia bang*** sangat? "

    instead, they would preferably say,

"apelah salah aku kena marah macam tu sekali. hurm..takpelah. betullah kot salah aku"

    or in other style:

"owh, I'm sorry your insult doesn't hurt me. I am terribly sorry if really I did hurt you. "

TAK PAYAH NAK BERLAGAK BAIKLAH EFFA OI!

oops..sorry if this entry makes you think so. I do find that there are several distinctions between 'berlagak baik' and 'cuba-perbaiki-diri-dan-mengharap-orang-yang-kata-orang-lain-cuba-berlagak-baik-tu-pun-perbaiki-diri'.

I am not perfect, I am real. Real people make mistake. Real people realize that they are not perfect, that is why they would try their best to at least be better. One of the ways is by advising, reminding each other. Hey2, that's why God created all of us, He didn't just create you because He knows well we won't be able to survive alone. We need someone or something to make us think.

Hurm..what else to be discussed today? Oh ya, as my friend had just shared her side of story about hurting and insulting just now, let me touch a bit on that.

a classic insult, calling specky people that way

    -photos courtesy of Google-

Sometimes we think that by shouting and scolding at others in public is normal. Sometimes we think that condemning harshly on someone's works is just a matter of voicing out your opinion (yeah, human rights of free voicing, katanya.)Sometimes we think that by calling others with hurtful names like gemok, hitam, lembab, ketot etc is normal. perfectly fine. Why? because that person whom the hurtful names are given to doesn't say a word that indicates that's a very bad idea to label him or her as such. Err.. that proves you are being plain ignorant. Off course, sometimes people won't show that they are hurt by our treatment on them. But believe me, everyone has feelings. I reckon you yourself has it. So, why not practice to be more considerate and sensitive from now on? okay?

and for those who are hurt and insulted, this is what has been told to us since ages,

Allah berfirman: "...dan hendaklah mereka memaafkan dan berlapang dada. Apakah kamu tidak suka bahwa Allah mengampunimu? Dan Allah Maha Pengampun, Maha Penyayang." (QS. An Nuur, 24:22)

    :)

    Sometimes I am truly unexpected

    ASSALAMUALAIKUM...

Indeed. As how this post is entitled. I can sometimes be unexpected. But, there will always be reasons for that. But this time around's was really out of my expectation. See, I myself still am surprised with what was happened to me few weeks back.

I could still remember, it was all started during my study week for my Semester 4's final examination. I started to get bored, naah..that's not the exact word. I was rather gotten enough of revising on that day. So I went (as usual again) roaming around Facebook updating my status and commenting on my lovely friends' statuses. Suddenly... on my 'Home' page of my Facebook, I saw this...
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .

I am an ardent fan of this skincare brand. I started using it in 2008 when I was still studying in Malacca Matriculation College up until now. Yeah...the longest period of using a skincare product so far. It was indeed because of the goodness it provided. That was why I followed them on Facebook by liking the page so much so that I would be able to update or even ask anything regarding the products or skincare regime.

When i first saw the ads about the contest, I was very much intrigued by the prize. LOL. RM500 worth of their products, who would say NO? plus, it involved only 2 main steps; upload a photo and create a catchphrase on why should one be chosen to be the ambassador of the product. While looking at my Simple products that I neatly arranged on the rack in my rented house's room (that were almost finished been used), I dubiously sent my application online.

I sent my photo together with this catchphrase:

I am a simple girl who leads a simple life. Entitled to my hectic schedule as a full time student, it does not stop me from enjoying my life to bits. I would love to show to other people out there that life has so much more to offer. I've been using Simple products since 2008 and since then I had never change to other products. The hesitation I had on the first day of buying the products had finally carved a huge smile upon my face now. For me, simplicity is always the best. Why bother to paint your lips red or blush your cheek pink when a simple smile can brighten up the day? In life, it's not just about how perfect you looked to others yet what matters is how are you willing to accept your imperfection perfectly and be grateful of it. Simple products teach me to be moderate and if I were to be chosen to represent this product, I would love to let others share the moderation too. :)

The contest promised the top 10 finalists RM500 worth of products. Only one winner would be chosen from the top 10 to win the lifetime's opportunity of being the Simple Products Facebook Ambassador and win a year supply of the brand. I didn't aim too much to win the contest. If I were to win the RM500 products, that would be enough. Still, that seemed to be a dream too. LOL

I was in Putrajaya, the final day of my LO work when I checked my FB page and saw that my name was listed as the top 10 finalists and that I won the RM500 worth of Simple products and that I had to attend a Hi-tea event on 4th June. I was like, "whatttttttt??????". Indeed, I was happy to win the products. :)

There you go, on 4th of June, I went to Bangsar to attend the Hi-tea event. i was among the earliest to arrive. Went there with my sister and all of us were wearing white as that was the dress code. It was held at the F by the Buffalo Kitchen, Bangsar. When I first stepped into the place, I was welcomed by a girl and a guy both in white. They smiled and welcomed me and asked me to fill in the form before the girl, Eileen handed me a questionnaire where there was 10 questions about Simple products on. I was surprised. gotcha!

The event was simple yet many inputs were received by all of us. There was a beauty talk by a dermatologist, Dr. Nazrin, a home facial spa's demo by Simple's beautician, high-tea off course, prize giving and photo session. It was really great to meet other contestants in person. They were really nice and friendly and gorgeous! I felt like a celebrity for a while. HAHA. That was all because, the photographers of the event captured our photos almost every single minute. When I was walking to get my food, when I was filling in the registration form, when I was eating..bla..bla..bla.. and every single time the flash was on me, I laughed and blushed. ohmai. awkward. LOL.

Here are some of the photos during the event.

    products I won. alhamdulillah.
The winner of the grand prize (a year supply of Simple products and becoming the ambassador of Simple Facebook page) has just been announced few days ago. The winner was Jessie, who was indeed a lovely and gorgeous 23 years old girl. Congrats Jessie. happy for you.

I am thankful for the opportunity. I am now understand that risk and challenges are there for us to take. Try not to be in your comfort zone for too long. Discover and venture anything proper and possible out there so that you'll learn better about life. :)

I had a great moment, seriously!

                                                                     ASSALAMUALAIKUM...

Oh my...oh my..it's been a while since my last entry on this blog. I had such a long semester break, suppose that's the reason of the super long break in blogging. huh. Too many things to share yet too few 'kerajinan' in me. I mean, the feeling of telling is there like all the time yet the feeling of writing is sorta hard to get. LOL.

okay..this time around, I would like to share my experience of working as a Liaison Officer (LO) for a big event that happened on last 24th May until 31st May. Indeed, it was only a week's occasion, yet the experience, the joy and the tiresome I had were just truly memorable and are permanently attached in my memory of life.

It was all started with my classmate, Kak Huda asking me and few more of my classmates to join an LO work at Putrajaya on the upcoming semester break (yeah..we're having 4 month's semester break. cool enuff?). I agreed and there I was in Putrajaya working as an LO.

oh..forgot to mention the name of the event. It was the International Canoe Federation (ICF) Dragon Boat Workshop, Coaching Course and Examination 2011. It was the first event as such organised by the Malaysian Canoe Association (MASCA) in cooperation with the International Canoe Federation (ICF). The event was happening for a week at Maritime Centre, Putrajaya, Kuala Lumpur. We (the LOs) stayed at the Sun-Inns hotel, Seri Kembangan. Ohmai...ohmai.. it was such an honor to be a part of the event plus we had to be almost 24/7 in the Maritime centre which, I tell you is tremendously beautiiiifullllll. woah. i'm so missing it, now.It was attended by 100++ participants from both Malaysia and few foreign countries like India, Thailand, Hong Kong, Macau, Iran, the Philippines, the United states and many more. and yeah, they were all sportsmen and sportswomen who were very much actively involved in dragon boat and other water sports.

I was assigned to guide participants from India and Thailand. Since the Thailand participants were all very used to such event and they were even very much used to Kuala Lumpur itself,  they did all things by themselves yet I still had the chance to meet them in person and talk to them especially the leader, Captain Ratanajaipan who was indeed a very gentle and friendly man. the other two Indian participants were Mr Rajiv Bhatia and Mr. Umar . I called Mr Rajiv, Daddy while Mr Umar, Atok. haha... Daddy is a businessman cum water sports academy's owner and coach while Atok is a water sportsman himself and the Vice President of Indian Kayaking and Canoeing Association.

I had so much fun and i learnt a lottttt during my work. Since I acted like their personal assistant, I ought to do almost all sorta works to ensure that the event went well. Arranging the schedule for the participants I assigned for, accompanying them if they wanted to go to the city or merely went for jalan-jalan, I also did emcee for the opening ceremony and the diploma presentation. Ohmai..I'm not gonna bluff. That was nerve-wrecking! Even though, it was quite scary for me at first for having to stand in front of almost 150 audiences including the VVIPs, alhamdulillah. it ended nicely and alhamdulillah, quite number of them gave me positive feedbacks and compliments. :) thanks to the President of MASCA, Mr. Dzulkifli Abas for his frequent last minute callings for me to be the emcee. I would never forget the moment where he used the mic and calling my name, "effa...effa..where are you, my emcee?" in the hall crowded with all the VIPs and participants when I had no idea I was supposed to be emceeing the occasion.  Haha.. no hard feelings already la Mr. Dzul, you are indeed a very cool man. high five!

If I were to tell vividly each and every single thing happened during the 7 days event, this would be a novel rather than a blog's entry. LOL. so..let me listed out the most memorable ones that I would like to share with you my dear followers.

    1. I really3 (swear to God) had a great time with my Daddy and Atok. they were really nice. <3 them!

    2. The Hong Kong participants really made me laugh during the photo session for their ID card's making. I was the photographer. I only ought to capture their face for the passport-size photo. Instead, they asked me to capture their photos while they gave me several poses as if they were models. haiya... and they were laughing all the way. naughty.naughty.

    3. We all attended the opening ceremony of 1 Million Youth Gathering which was organized for the Hari Belia 2011 just near the Mritime Centre itself. We walked there and had a great moment enjoying the view. When I was sitting, my Daddy who was sitting on my right gave me the Cadbury's chocolate bar and I offered that to my Atok who was sitting on my left. Daddy said seriously, "no chocolate for him (Atok). he cannot eat chocolate". Atok smiled and said, "yeah..yeah..cannot. I'm too old for that". Both of them were then laughing. ouh..forget to tell. Daddy is 42 years old while Atok is 65 years old.:)

    4. there was this Hong Kong participant, Jacky called me Flower. haha. he didn't know my name. When he asked for my name, i said, just call me Fa. (because it was hard to let him be able to pronounce ef..fa..LOL). It 's so happened that Fa means flower in Cantonese.there you go, Flower was my name there.

    5. I lost my handphone. DONE. no more elaboration on that. T_T

    6. Daddy treated me hazelnut shake and chocolate cake and we had a nice chatting there. He went telling me about his cute lil baby boy and his sweet 13 years old lil girl. Not to forget, his beautiful wife. he really is a great dad.

    7. After sending off my Daddy to the airport (his flight was earlier than atok's), I accompanied atok to Low Yatt for he wanted to purchase the Apple Macbook for his dear son, Hamzah.  i went there with my dear friend, Elly by train. Atok treated us Starbucks and paid for all the train and taxi fares. He also treated us lunch before I sent him off for his flight at the LCCT.

    8. When we were in the train, Atok opened his bag and handed me a handmade Kashmir shawl, Elly got it too! I was taken aback by the sudden gift and went thanking him repeatedly. He smiled and said humbly, "I'm sorry, I didn't know that I would be helped by nice girls like you and your friend during my stay here, so this is the only thing I could give. Or else, I would bring a lot more from Kashmir for you ". Oh mai.. I was touched. T_T

    9. Saying goodbye was really a hard thing to do to both Daddy and Atok. I almost cried. wuuuu...

    10. Despite the hardships and downs I had to endure, I only remembered the nice things happened there. Thanks to my great friends who were there working with me and thanks to the super bubbly and sporting leaders who were responsible in organizing the occasion, Mr. Dzul, Mr.zaki, Mr. Awi and few more others gentlemen. Thank you so much for the opportunity  :)
